Patient's Father Allegedly Beaten by PMCH Jr. Doctors

Junior doctors at the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) on Tuesday allegedly beat up a the father of a young boy after he enquired about a medicine needed for the treatment of his son.
As reported, Yogendra Rai of Danapur was getting his son treated at the pediatric ward of the hospital when the doctors asked him to obtain a medicine from the hospital pharmacy. Since the shop was closed at the time, Rai went outside the hospital and purchased the medicine from a drug shop on Ashok Rajpath.
When he returned, the doctors asked him to get another medicine for his son. This led to an altercation and, according to some eyewitnesses; the junior doctors assaulted Rai beating him mercilessly.
After the incident, the doctors fled the hospital and did not return till late night.
Rai's injuries were treated at the hospital by other doctors.
Pirbahore police, however, denied having received any complaints in the case.
