Magadh University Students Ransack College
Patna: May 10, 2008
Students with allegiance to the All India Students Federation (AISF) in Patna on Saturday ransacked classrooms at College of Commerce in a display of protest against the Magadh University's decision to raise tuition fee and holding exams without holding classes.
Going from one college to another including TPS College and Arvind Mahila College, the activists urged the students to extend their cooperation in their fight against what they called the highhandedness of the university officials.
The students also locked up classes and teachers' offices at the College of Commerce saying until their demands were fulfilled, they would continue to boycott classes and intensify their agitation that would affect all colleges in the state under Magadh University.
