Bihar/Jharkhand Association in US Organizes Community Day

American Organization for the Development of Bihar (AODB) and Bihar Samaj, a non-profit, social, and cultural organization based in the San Francisco Bay area organized a Community Day last Sunday at the Santa Clara Convention Center featuring musical items and other cultural presentations enthralling a crowd of over 200 people.
The event led by Sujay Roy was organized in association with the India Community Center and TIE (The Indus Entrepreneurs).
The program included a short cultural program featuring a slide show with music and folk songs put together by Sujay Roy and Suresh Roy. This was followed by Bihari folk songs by Gajendra Mishra, Beena Mishra, Sudhir Mandal, Arun Verma, Anand Kishore, Tung Prasad, Indu Prasad, Chitra Kunwar, Dayanand Prasad, Veena Prasad, Prashant Kumar, Jyoti Kumar. Sudev Sheth, a noted Bay area artist, provided accompany on Tabla. Vinita Kumar's choreographed dance was performed by Varsha Kumar, Kavita Arunarthi, Shyamala Eswari, Sangeeta Nandwani, Parul Agrawal, Samhita Dash, Tabbassum Gupta, Seema Maniyar, Jayashree Misra, Anjana Rekhi.
Rajiv Sinha, Sunil Singh, Nishant Deep explained the visitors of AODB projects in the field of education, health and vocational training in Bihar.
