Kankarbagh Jewelry Shop Robbers Arrested

Robbers Arrested. Photo by Shashi UttamThe Kankarbagh police in Patna on late Tuesday night arrested four criminals wanted in a number of armed robbery cases including the October 22nd daring raid of the S. K. Jewelers in which they got away with valuables and cash over Rs. 3 lakh.

Kankarbagh police station in-charge Abhay Narayan Singh, at a press meet in which he presented the four criminals, said the arrests came after the police was able to identify those who were involved in the jewelry shop robbery.

Six pistols, dozens of live cartridges, two live bombs, large sum of cash, and an auto-rickshaw was seized from the criminals' possessions.

After conducting the robbery on October 22nd, the criminals fled to Masaurhi and sold the jewelries to a local jeweler.

Arrested men were identified as Manoj Kumar, Dukhan Paswan, Sunil Singh, and Prabhat Kumar.

All four men have a long history of crime and had been to jail a number of times on various robbery cases, the police said.

Three other men are being sought in the case.
