CPI-ML Leader Removed from Bihar Assembly
Patna: July 3, 2009
Communist Party of India (ML) legislator Amarnath Yadav who would not shut up after repeatedly being warned to mind his manners, marshals in the state Assembly on Friday, at the behest of Speaker Uday Narayan Chowdhary, physically removed him from the Assembly causing a ruckus in the House.
As reported, Yadav and other party colleagues, raising the issue of Ramnaresh Ram and Rameshwar Prasad who were earlier branded as terrorists by the Bhojpur police, demanded withdrawal of all cases against them and suspension of the police officers involved in the case.
Despite repeated attempts to calm them down, Yadav continued to ignore the warnings and became belligerent disrupting the normal proceedings of the House.
When the CPI-ML leader picked up a table and slammed it on the floor, Chowdhary ordered the security guards to remove Yadav from the Assembly, reports said.
"It is clear that the intention of the opposition leaders is to disrupt the Assembly when the matter is already under consideration. Such acts are reprehensible and must be condemned by all across the table," Singh said.
