Baikatpur Temple. Baikatpur is a small village just 30 km east of Fatuha. The original name was Baikunthpur but later it came to be known simply as Baikatpur with a temple of immense historical importance. The temple has a Shiv Linga with projection of Parvati in it. It's about 30 inches from ground and 18 inches in diameter. The temple was built by Raja Maan Singh. It is believed that the Shiv Linga is made of the same stone that Jarasandh, according to the Hindu chronicles, used to wear on his arm as 'Tabeez', or amulet, which he threw in Ganges while fighting with Bheem during the Mahabharat period. After abandoning the tabeez, he became very weak and Bheem split him into two halves. Photo: PatnaDaily.Com
