There
were fourteen comments last month on Prasoon
Chowdhary's article "Sack
the minister". This showed a great deal
of sentiment on the issue. People were outraged
that a Minister with a two day old ministry had
the cheeks to slap a senior Civil Services
Bureaucrat.
Writing in PD columns is like preaching to the
choir. Real action involves contacting the
Government and expressing your expectations.
"Dear Nitish Kumar...." was an article written
to galvanize public sentiments into action on
this issue. I am still hopeful, that some
readers will find the fortitude in their
character to write to the CM before December 15
and express their feelings on the Narendra Singh
issue (ONLY!).
To the PD readers in general, and to the
fourteen people (who responded to the article
"Sack the minister") in particular, I have to
say, "Speak now, or hold your peace forever. If
you keep quiet on this vital issue, you forfeit
your moral right to complain later when other
issues come up." I urge readers of PD to please
go to the article, "Dear Nitish Kumar...", read
the instructions and write an email to Mr.
Nitish Kumar.
