Bhartiya Jokers Party (BJP) Zindabad

I congratulate the people who now rule BJP. After losing the last Lok Sabha election, these people have successfully transformed BJP from Bhartiya Janata Party to Bhartiya Jokers Party. This transformation work is complete after they fired Uma Bharti. I am sure the way things are going, in next few months the party will become completely irrelevant.

The party is now controlled by group of autocratic people who have more or less never fought election! They can hardly be called mass leaders. This group is lead by MJN troika, Mahajan, Jaitley and Naidu and well supported by others psychopaths like Sushma Swaraj, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Sanjay Joshi. These people have successfully hijacked the party and no leader can now survive in the party without keeping them in good humor. They are media savvy people and have managed to present them as the face of the party by appearing on sort of TV shows. They are the new age management gurus from Harvard, who take credit for all the victories, leaving nothing for the real leaders who actually puts lots of hard work day and night at the ground level.

After the loss in last election Vajpayeeji is nothing more then a party symbol. Advaniji, who was keen to get secular certificate for becoming tallest leader in NDA, is also now more or less dependent on these people after he gave his famous Jinnah speech. I hope Mr. Jinnah does not come out laughing from his grave. If that happens Pakistan will claim he is a next Messiah after Prophet Mohammad and Jesus Christ and credit for this will to Advaniji.

All this has demoralized the BJP leaders who had any mass following at grass root. This can be seen from the treatment people like Khurana, Kalyan Singh and now Uma Bharti receives. Thanks to these circus ring masters, now they have to beg for things like a small post in state BJP. It is great pleasure to see Madan Lal Khurana who has given his entire life to the Delhi BJP, now seeking approval from these men to enter state politics again. It would look natural if another leader who has grown from the grass root takes over from Madan Lal Khurana, but now his faith is decided by people who sit in AC rooms in BJP headquarter in front of their laptops, who never had any contact with party workers.

Uma Bharti may be what ever, but one can not deny that she is the leader under whom BJP fought and won the election in MP. People voted for her more then the BJP. So her claim over the CM’s post is very right. Although she sometimes appears power hungry and behaves in manner which makes people laugh at her, but this can also be credited to the people in Delhi who have provoked her enough to go to that extreme.

The way Babulal Gaur was removed and Shivraj Singh Chauhan was brought, is completely mysterious to me. They have gone one step further then the congress party who at least takes symbolic opinion from all the MLAs before telling then who is their next CM.

I heard from a BJP worker working in party headquarter (this claim can not be verified as he wished not to be identified and he might be joking) that Mr Social Scientist of BJP and chief strategist Pramod Mahajan has a software installed on his laptop which takes month and state name and then gives the CM’s name as output ! Don’t be surprised if this turns out to be true!.

Comments:
The author has nothing flattering to say about what he has nicknamed BJP to be - Bhartiya Joker's party! Are things so black and white in real life ? Is BJP, in its present form, so evil that the triad that leads it (as claimed by the author) has become so evil at heart and dictatorial in nature ?

My comments on this topic is going to be very general. I have seen Pramod Mahajan in political discussions on TV. To me he appeared to be a very articulate and intelligent person. I am not going to comment whether he has a good heart or an evil one. If he had an evil heart, I am sure, not only Mr. Prasoon but a lot of other people would have been saying that. Till many other voices join Mr. Prasoon's voice, I will be inclined to believe that Mr. Mahajan is not an evil man.

Sometimes age is given undue advantage. While it is true that experience and wisdom go hand-in-hand with age, it is also true that oafs and morons also age and become grey haired elderly people. Grey hair and old age may suggest that person could possibly be wise, but it does not guarantee it. What Mr. Advani did in Pakistan was his own doing, not Mr. Mahajan's. Mr. Vajpayee's numerous screw-ups (including the infamous 'Bihari' comment) were not remotely controlled by Mr. Mahajan. These people chose (of their own accord and their own foolishness) to make themselves irrelevant. Advani's Pakistani goof-up was inexcusable. Coming from a man who himself had been kicked out of his home with nothing but the clothes on his back at the time of partition, it was disgusting. It was as if the imprint of the Pakistani boot on his rear had not even faded when he made a goofy remark that negated the sacrifices of the Indian army in the three wars that have been fought with Pakistan and insulted every Indian soldier who laid his life down fighting the army of a nation that was formed on the claim, "even if seculars you want to live with us, we do not want to live with you."

The fact remains that leadership of BJP self-destructed. A few years ago, I had always worried about the Advani - Vajpayee nexus not doing enough to groom the next generation of BJP leadership by slowly easing bright people in the party into leadership positions. If these old people had died in office, the party would have had a crisis of leadership. Since these people have self destructed, the transition has been gradual. The new leadership of the party carry Laptops. This is, in fact, very encouraging. If the older generation can not master modernity (including use of computers), they should let the bright young people in the party move forward and take up the semi-retired role of consultants and image people (Like what Clinton does these days). Till date this is an alien concept in Indian politics. Then there is the Congress way - groom your children to lead the party ! If the children are duffers, they can always have advisors!

The blade on the author's axe is shiny. It seems he has been grinding it! - Aarcee - Dec. 8, 2005

I live abroad so I really don't hear much about politics in India but I am fully aware and insulted at what Atal Bihari had said about Biharis.

I feel that Biharis have no respect for themselves. Chors and pakhandis like Atal should not be even allowed to visit Bihar unless they ask for forgiveness from Bihari Janta. I agree we are not very powerful or rich state but we do have some khuddari left in us. The comment he made was to appease all India and to add insult to already bleeding and dead Bihar. At a time when leaders should have done something to improve the situation, they were busy trashing Biharis all over the country.

I spit on those people who support leaders like Advani and Vajpayee. How can anyone respect you if you have no respect for yourself. Shame!! - Aamir - Dec. 8, 2005

Mr. Aamir, sometimes it is better to keep your mouth shut than destroy your reputation in one stroke as you have done by the manner you wrote your comment on this issue and decided to choose your words. To call Vajpayee a 'chor' and 'pakhandi' simply explains your ignorance of Indian politics. Don't comment on something you only know little.

Before you trash leaders like Vajpayee, get a grip on Indian politics. Like they say, half knowledge is dangerous. I have not heard you calling Rajiv Gandhi or Sonia Gandhi a 'chor' or 'pakhandi' or you would 'spit on their faces' or did I miss something? You remember Vajpayee's statement "I am Atal, not Bihari..." but do you recall our de-facto Prime Minister Sonia Gandhi making the statement with a smirk on her face "Bihar is Bihar..."? Where was your 'khuddari' then?

It's better to quit while your are ahead in the game than completely ruin your own reputation that you have built around PatnaDaily.Com community for last few years. I have been reading your comments for a while and have come to realize you are an intelligent, reasonable person with whom I wouldn't mind discussing on various social and political issues but this comment of yours on Vajpayee has forced me to reconsider my opinion about you. Your choice of words like 'chor', 'pakhandi', and 'you'd spit on him' are not the words I would have expected from you or chosen against a leader like Vajpayee who dedicated his entire life for the service of the country and not like a carpetbagger and Johnny-come-lately like Sonia Gandhi who is no better than Rabri Devi when it comes to understanding Indian history or politics - probably worse.

Not that my opinion matters to you, I understand, but still... - Manoj Kumar - Dec. 8, 2005

Behind the party banners all politicians are the same. The same stuff in different bottles with different labels. All want to grab power and then to hang on to it. All dupe the Indian people by the politics of vote banks. Whether it is Appeasement of Muslims, Backward-Forward or Ayodhya the people were divided, many lives were lost but the purpose of gathering votes was achieved. So the difference is barely cosmetic. With this in mind, the people of India have to take a pledge that they will not be fooled again. Appeasement of Muslims, Backward-Forward and Ayodhya... Do you think the game is over? NO. Something new is being crafted. The politicians firmly believe that they can keep fooling the people with these stunts.

It is the responsibility of every enlightened Indian to call off the bluff. Next time around make people around you see reason. Make them rise over petty greed and make them see the larger picture. If all of us spread the message the bluff can be called off.

Every right thinking Indian wants development. Every politician wants to stay in power. If we stand united, refuse to be fooled yet again and defeat the divisive forces, we can force politicians to work positively for every vote. That will be a great service to our Mother Land. - Rajesh Chaubey - Dec. 9, 2005
