Bihar Can Do it Too

The land of knowledge and Buddha now has turned to a land of criminals and kidnapping. It is not that the people are not willing to do any thing but we all need security to do things freely. No one will like to invest money in the state unless they feel it is properly used. In the same way. No organisation or group will do enough labour in the state if they feel that their security is at risk.

The very first thing our Chief Minister should do is to prepare a master plan not only to control crimes but also to encourage people to become a part of mainstream. For this he has to ensure that he has honest and dedicated people in his government.

The ministers in his government must take active interest in developing their constituencies at a war-footing level. They should take this as a personal challenge to bring prosperity back to Bihar. If the government takes active and honest interest then I am sure it will change the attitude of every person and organisation in Bihar.

Unless and until Bihar lures back its business community, flow of money will be difficult. It is time our young Chief Minister and his ministers realised that this is the opportunity God has given to them to do something good for the state they belong to. Compared to the pending work, time is very short. But if Surat in Gujarat can rise from the plague and become the cleanest city of India, why Bihar cannot start on its path of progress?

The government must encourage education at all level in Bihar. This is the only solution of all misery of Bihar. This also has to be done at a war-footing level. The government should come out with a master plan of not only setting up engineering colleges but also must encourage the education at primary level. Give them education and the Biharis can shine anywhere. After all each year maximum number of Biharis shine in the Indian Administrative Services.

Comments:
This again is an article where we find the same things mentioned time and again and no matter what this shows the confidence of people in humanity and also the hopefulness of people of this state.

In one of my write ups where in I said that Bihar will not improve within few months or few years and at least for 3-5 years ( with the same government), I was attacked from people from all sides except for few, two, who found some logic in my statements.

I am here not expressing any anguish and am not saying anything negative on the writer's article but I wish to draw again the attentions to the facts that, we may sit on the fence and say that I would be the best person to handle the situation and will give lectures on how to achieve it but when it comes to deliver then the reality comes up.

We may chalk out a list of Dos and Don'ts for Nitish Kumar but he also is a human being and not a Superman so though he may have promised a new Bihar in 3 months if he were to be voted to power, the reality is totally different and one can see from the reports etc.

I am of the view that the scene in Bihar will change only in 10 - 15 years time and with a government with a iron hand and with a will to do the best for its people and nothing else will succeed because the whole social and cultural module has to be changed to see the effects and that will take time. - Sanjay Gupta - Feb.4, 2006
