Rush to Delhi

Delhi is alluring the Biharis. Most students come to Delhi for better education. In Delhi, most of them are misguided. Except for a few good colleges in Delhi University, other college standard is low. Why do students come here and spend a lot of their parents money? JNU is a good place for higher education.

Students think once they venture to Delhi they will get good jobs. It is not necessary. Guardian-less students do not pay attention to their studies and this way they are ruining their time and wasting guardian's money.

Working people's condition is worse in Delhi. Only handful of people of Bihar get handsome salary otherwise those who are working in the private offices are getting the salary between Rs. 4000 to 10000. If a man earns Rs. 7000 per month, this money is valueless for an expensive city like Delhi.

Rickshaw pullers and other manual workers conditions are also worst possible. The question is that why people come to Delhi without any planning? First people should analyse what will happen in Delhi, what would be their future. After proper planning, they should go to Delhi. - Wasimul Haque - Jan. 6, 2006

"JNU is a good place for higher education". Sure, if you want your children to turn into communists and Marxists. JNU is the single-most well-organized, legalized, breeding ground of Marxists (Naxals) who have been brainwashed to believe in equating Marxism with intellectualism.

NRI Conference in Hyderabad

Nitish Kumar is wasting his time with NRI conference in Hyderabad.

NRIs want to help or invest money in their own state. How many Bihari NRIs are going to Hyderabad conference? I could bet not a single Bihari NRI would invest in Bihar at this stage.
If Nitish Kumar is serious about NRI’s investment in Bihar he could hold a conference in Patna with NRIs for investment in Bihar, then he would get some idea about investment from NRIs. - Rajesh Jha - Jan. 6, 2006

Future of Laloo Yadav

While the general belief amongst Bihari public is that of relief to get rid of 15 year old Laloo Raj, what the leader himself must be thinking?

Should he think that he and his wife are out of Chief Ministerial consideration forever or be a little optimistic and wait for 5 years till next elections?

I think he scored self goal by making a public statement that development counts for nothing as far as winning elections in Bihar is concerned. So the public now knows that development was far away from his mind. On top of it, the new government has taken some positive steps and at least looking to work towards a better governance. Laloo has lost a gargantuan opportunity to inscribe his name in Bihar's history by neglecting the fundamental necessities of general Bihari public. Also, his defeat in elections came only when one of the EC officials took stringent steps to ensure fair elections. It makes one wonder that did he really win previous elections fair and square.

All in all, his future looks bleak and unless some disaster is committed by this govt I don't see him coming back into the power in near future. - Jitesh Sinha - Jan. 7, 2006

Road Conditions in Bihar

The road conditions were always bad in Bihar. It was difficult to imagine how a motor craft will walk onto them. While previous govt failed to even acknowledge the bad conditions,I don't see any active effort on part of Nitish Kumar's Govt in this regard till now.True, this govt has been fairly new at the office but the improving road conditions all over Bihar has not even appeared in any of the statements made by ministers. - Jitesh Sinha - Jan. 7, 2006
