The
good news that Government .has given the final
nod to Sixth Pay Commission for implementing the
new revised pay scale has come as a relief for
the Central Govt. employees with lower pay
scales. Because of stringent dearness gripping
the market every now and then the employees
can’t help suffering from it. Every commodity,
whether small or big, is getting costlier day by
day but their salaries remain almost same in
true sense - no sufficient hike, except an
annual increment and 2-3 per cent DA. Days are
not far when the employees have happy days.
It goes without saying that the pay scales of
the staff working in a private sector are much
higher than those of Central Govt. Employees It
results in growing frustration and a sense of
alienation among them. In fact, the dearness
doesn’t make any distinction between any one.
Everybody has to purchase the same food or other
edibles. But with the Central government giving
the final nod to the Sixth Pay Commission for
implementation of the proposed new pay scale by
2008, the long gap caused by the unjustified
disparity between the salaries of central
government employees and those in private
sectors will be bridged up. The Prime Minister
has promised us the Sixth Pay Commission earlier
this and has kept his words by constituenting
the Pay Panel and giving final go for its
proposed implementation by 2008 by hook or by
crook. Thank you Mr. Prime Minister for showing
sympathy and empathy for the central govt.
employees.
