It
is undisputed that Mr. Nitish Kumar is our last
hope in bring back the Bihari pride back. Bihari
Nationality is rising and he has worked as a
catalyst.
There are many like me who are working on
projects to improve the situation of Bihar but
folks like us seem to have been too conservative
and less forthcoming and waiting for the crime
to be completely removed before they take their
first step to their land of pride. And in the
mean time our last hope is running out of
patience and has done the first compromise by
agreeing to pardon the surrendering criminals
and give them rehabilitation package.
This is the first step to a slippery path. What
message are we sending to the masses? That what
criminals did was circumstantial and would be
rewarded? And what rest of the society did i.e.
followed a hard working virtuous path does not
have much to be commended? He is doing the
mistake that JP did by accepting surrender of
Chambal dacoits.
Why is he compromising? Is it because he has no
faith in his police system and is beyond repair
(see my earlier article on
this page)
or is it because good guys like us are too
cautious and risk averse? Is it because he sees
no light at the end of the tunnel? Is he too
tired to fight this uphill battle?
Whatever may be the cause, this is not good and
one step can lead to another.
Folks, let's pitch-in. Do what ever you can in
your capacity to stop this. I will do my bit.

understand, why your same article is
