Sting Operation or cheap publicity? Too many channels and no news, so what do you do, catch the unsuspecting? Talk about women's issues and that also in Bihar - oh you can look and there are heaps to talk about and do something about it - about women who are already in this world with blood and bone and who are struggling, you do not need a sting operation for that - widow remarriage, child marriage, education, young girls being married to men much older than they are so that they have a roof over their head and get two meals day, etc. etc.. do something about them, you do not need to malign people who have given their entire life and every waking hour for women's health issues and frankly - if women want an abortion, for whatever reason, they rather go to a qualified doctor than to a roadside illegal shackle performed by a quack and die in the process.

And yes, the sting operator, you are missing the point, why are you not spending more time trying to educate people who want to abort the female foetus. The money will be well spent educating men and women alike on this issue. By this stupid sting operation, which clearly smacks of professional rivalry, you are trying to address a symptom and not the disease. Why is it that even in 21st century, people want to do that, why - give us an answer, we are more interested in that and what are you doing to address that.

The money spent on this sting operation would have been well spent on doing something small for women and girls who are already in this world - a little scholarship for a girl to study further, make sure girls are not maried to men much older than they are, there are many, many issues which we all can do little.

I must say, this is the last time I will ever, ever believe in a sting operation!! I now know the way the news is portrayed - - full story never comes out, it is reported selectively to gain maximum sensation.

I have beautiful children, a girl as well and many, many of my friends who have girls and received medical attention from the so called doctor who performs "female foeticide". I just want to make a point, I travelled 12,000 kms from a "first world" to Patna to have a child operated by this doctor who has a gift when it comes of obstetrics and gynecologists!! How can someone malign a person whom has given nearly every waking hour of her life to medicine and specifically to women's health.
