I am shocked at Rabri Devi's behavior in the Assembly. This shows her class and lack of education. No decent lady would dare do this. I live abroad and I can see people laughing at her when they talk about her. Just becoming the Chief Minister of Bihar doesn't change your personality. Shame on her.

Comments:
What Rabri Devi did in Vidhan Sabha is despicable. Even more immoral was her denial that she had misbehaved and insulted a fellow Vidhan Sabha member.

But I take objection to the generalizing language used by Manglani Ji about lack of education being related to or responsible for what Rabri Devi did.

Girija Devi, a lady from the most uneducated and illiterate community (the lady who was due to address the woman's conference in USA this month) is illiterate and dalit. Not all educated and several other unfortunate uneducated illiterate people in our state are like Rabri Devi so it is not fair to link education to character. After all it is our collective responsibility to enhance literacy and education levels of our rather unfortunate poor countrymen, women, and children. - Ajay Kapoor - Mar. 5, 2005
