First
I welcome every one on this one forum for all
like-minded Biharis. I also appreciate the
opening of Readers Write column because it gives
us a freedom to write and share our views. I
also congratulate Mr. Editor for being tough
when things appeared to be going out of hand.
Through this column, I would like to
congratulate Mr. Nitish Kumar for his move to
induct ex-Army soldiers to combat the growing
crime in the state. His other announcement of
rehabilitation of criminals is also very
commendable. Our history has proved that by
applying strict measures as well as taking a
soft stand we have solved many issues. Criminals
once inducted into the mainstream life will
surely adapt to it fast. We have solved the
problems of dacoits in Chambal area by applying
the same procedure. Good move Nitish Ji...

Ms.
Seema, thanks for raising this
issue. I don't have anything against
ex-uniforms, but it would have been
far better option to give
opportunities to un-employed Bihari
youths. Ex-uniforms are already
getting pension from Govt. Why not
start something which serves the
purpose as well as generate
employments. Our resources must be
spent in the most judicious way. -

I
agree that a dynamic youth engine
can be the main force in taking
Bihar to greater prosperity, but it
is always prudent to leverage the
available talent and experience to
set the initial pace. We all know
that the relay race team which runs
the first round faster invariably
wins the race.
By leveraging the training and
experience of ex servicemen we will
be able to bring in peaceful and
stable atmosphere faster enabling
more industrialization of Bihar and
more employment generation for our
youth force.
PatnaDaily.Com has done commendable
job by providing opportunity for
interested persons to express their
views. I am sure healthy discussion
and complementary views will
generate greater interest and more
enthusiasm among us to contribute to
greater success of Bihar.
Thanks to both Anjum and Seema for
active interest in development of
Bihar. - Bijay Kumar - Mar. 6,
