My dear PD, please accept my sincere thanks for transmitting such news. These news are the dancing peacocks. The rainfall of success is now certain on the thirsty land of Bihar; the sacred Ganges will have a purer and serene look and therein people of Bihar can take refreshing bath and invite others with widened chaste. Such great achievements are expected from a true son of Bihar like Nitish Bhai.

Comments:
All of us Biharis settled abroad feel very happy to hear good news of the state seeing the light of development. I hope the present government with a positive attitude towards development will bring a rapid change in the state and make it at par with other states in quality of life.

Many more things need to be done. In the power sector along with improving generation, distribution should also be taken care of. Road projects should be accelerated and centrally sponsored schemes should be fully supported by govt. Other things which need prompt attention of government are:

1. Development of food processing industry and exploitation of processed food export market.

2. Dairy, poultry and fishery development on Andhra pattern and Mumbai Aarey Milk colony model. Marketing of value added dairy products like fruit mixed yogurt, flavored milk drinks.

3. Exploiting domestic and foreign tourist market - good roads, power, transport and security for tourist places like Rajgir, Bodh Gaya, Nalanda and Pawapuri. Cleanliness in these cities and provision of sufficient public toilets etc. Exploit the river Ganges by keeping the banks clean, making cemented stairs on river banks, promote steamer tours, provision of clean accommodation, sanitary facility and clean markets at Simaria for domestic and cultural tourism.

4. Development and promotion of culture and tap export market for arts like Madhubani Paintings, Sikkiwares, CDs and DVDs of Maithili and Bhojpuri folk music.

5. Develop residential complexes near major towns with all infrastructure so that Biharis settled abroad or in other parts of country can make Bihar a home if they want to.

6. Set up medical institutes with state of the art and well managed facilities, may be in private sector so that critically sick people of state don't have to rush elsewhere in the country.

Bihar can be turned into a modern state from a failed state. The present govt can't afford to miss the opportunity. - Mithilesh Kumar, Delmar, NY, USA - June 1, 2006

Yes, these are really great news. After 15 years of complete darkness Bihar is lightened with rays of hope. Hopes of development, economic strengthening, job opportunities, social security, equal and fast justice. We has actually forgotten the meaning of these words. Nitish Kumar has changed the typical and infamous "BIHARI" impression. Companies are looking forward to invest in our motherland. Good days are knocking on the door. Its time to celebrate freedom from negative image and to welcome the coming opportunity. Now, the youth would not have to migrate to other states to earn their bread. Now, women would not have to cry for food, security and peace. Now children can go to school without being scared of taken away by miscreants for money. Now the GOONDARAJ is coming to its end.

But we would have to be alert to protect these rays. These are still early days and the rays are so weak that any disturbance can take these away. Let us become united against all evils without any caste, religion favors. Let us stand and speak for the betterment, justice, development. Let us sacrifice for making OUR BIHAR, OUR GREAT BIHAR.

May God bless us in doing so. - Ravish Kumar, Hyderabad - June 1, 2006
