Shocked to read and hear the latest news that the Information and Broadcasting Ministry would give clearance for release to the film the Da Vinci Code only if the Catholic Churches Association of India okayed it. When the governments in the countries with Christian-majority population have not banned the film, where does the question of banning it in a Hindu-majority country arise? Spiritually speaking, Indians are the biggest hypocrites of the world. I am ashamed to add that the Christians of India are the most intolerant of them all. My co-religionists who object to the screening of the film the Da Vinci Code need be told categorically that our God is not powerless that any man can destroy His image.

Comments:
I read the book and that doesn’t changed my opinion about churches. If government ban the movie, people in India will become more curious about it. In that case I am sure more people would watch this movie, because nobody can ban the pirated DVDs & CDs in Indian market. - Nawin Kumar, NJ, USA - May 18, 2006

I fully concur with you on your line of "Spiritually speaking, Indians are the biggest hypocrites of the world." In fact in most of the aspects, not only spiritually. Only difference is that probably who are staying out of country are little bit more hypocrite than ones living in India, but they all, including me and you, are the same.

How many Indians have you seen religiously forwarding mails to help people like Satyendra Dubey and Bombay flood victims or Tsunami victims, without bothering to pay even 10$ for the support? I know and see a whole lot of them in India and in US.

Probably, it's not the topic - but I would still say, there are so many real good people in India, who were actually helping people in Tsunami and Mumbai floods, then sending mails of Mumbai vs New Orleans comparison and all the signature campaign mails. - Ashish Kumar - May 21, 2006
