Some
time ago, I wrote an article about A.Q. Khan and
the 'Chor Bazaar' of Pakistani Nuclear
Technology. (

That article drew 9 comments.
Subsequent to that, I wrote another article when
Musharraf's memoirs came out. Maybe it was the
disgust that I felt when Musharraf stood with
Mr. Bush as an 'ally' at the time of release of
his so called 'memoirs' that my article got a
little too strong-worded to pass through the
editorial filters at PD. I had wondered, in
blunt words, if the symbols of Mr. Musharraf's 'mardanagi'
were sitting in a jar of formaldehyde on Mr.
Armitage's desk! How I wish, I had toned down my
language for that article! I never get perturbed
when my articles get snagged this way, because
frankly, all my articles are not the same
quality. The ones that I write under an
emotionally charged state, sound like works of
art to me when I write them. Later, however,
when I have had the chance to cool down, I start
to revise things.
Anyway, the reason I am revisiting this topic is
that A.Q. Khan's daughter (a U.K. resident) is
in the news, trying to protect her dad from
Musharraf. She is threatening to make public,
all the information A.Q.K had on the sale of
Nuclear Technology when he was put under house
arrest.
In my original article I had warned that Indian
leaders were talking to the wrong end of this
poisonous snake - Pakistan. Today, when it is
clearer than ever, that the Pakistani Military
Junta was the one selling Nuclear Technology,
the question comes to my mind repeatedly, why is
this supplication and pacification being dished
out to this dreaded snake whose character is so
well known/revealed and documented?! What does
India stand to gain from these desert dwelling
fanatical people? By God, the ones that live in
the NW parts of that God forsaken land look like
the devil incarnate - much worse than Taliban!
Can our leaders make friends with them? After
all, what for? For the pipeline?! What pipeline
brings the oil to the US from the Middle East ?
Can't India get its oil the same way, than
trying to coddle with the scum of the earth?
