I originally hail from Patna. I am staying in the Gulf for the past 14 years. Currently, I am in Muscat, Oman.

I was in India recently and visited Patna on the 26th of January, 2007. I stayed till January 30. I had gone to attend my niece's wedding. I had visited Patna in 2004 and I would like to share some of the positive developments I could notice this time.

The roads, buildings, etc are more or less the same. What was striking is a general feeling of security and safety amongst the people. I saw young girls, ladies and elderly people walking on roads even at 8 in the evening. Markets were crowded with people and I did not find any gun toting security guards in front of the jewellery shops. It used to be so scary!

I am not sure how much development has taken place in Bihar, but Mr Nitish Kumar's governance has definitely brought about a sense of security and has instilled some confidence amongst the people of Patna.

Thank you Mr Chief Minister! You are making Biharis proud once again.
