Tug of war in politics for a largest democracy of the world is a necessary social phenomenon . Its like sagar manthan where one of the achievements is good planning or farfetchedness’ in terms of regional growth and development. And in a scientific term, well formulated program acts like a catalyst which accelerates the speed of growth and development of a State like Bihar.

What does come to our sensibility if we reconsider the remark made by our hon’ble president rather a global remark addressed to the gem audience during the global meet in Patna? Will Bihar be a ‘developed state before 2-15?’ .It is said that action speaks louder than words. Work so far done over a short span of time is self explanatory. Depersonalized, sincere and democratic approach to criticism is absolutely fine but never at the cost of the performance of a government who is working hard in re building the state. Impartial assessment of its achievements will certainly boost the developmental programs of the stagnant Bihar. By a leader or a common man, positive approach to criticism will work as a medicine where the state is not in good heath and capable enough to fight backwardness and run hand-in-hand with other developed states of the federal India. The same state which was declared the best administered state till 1952, is now no more in the same basket of the compliment. Undeniably, the opposition has got the role to play but for Heaven sake, you too have worked for 15 years, let this government work and accomplish the tasks which you have left far behind!

Comments:
Mr. Ahmad has very rightly touched the political chord as well as developmental imperatives of our dear and capable state of Bihar.

In my view, our visionary president's challenge to see credible development of Bihar by 2015 can be well met by dynamic and all powerful people of Bihar; the land of Ashoka the Great, Chanakya, Buddha's enlightenment; Chandragupta – an endless list of Bright and laborious people of Bihar.

What is required of us is to take this challenge in the core of our heart and move on the path of progress, peace and prosperity. Now onwards let us all talk of progress instead of politics at our home, teashops, railway station, bus stops or wherever we are.

It is very enlightening news that Bihar government has taken the challenge of finding crude oil in Ganga basin and other prospective areas of North Bihar and intensive air survey has already started. Let us take more such steps in the areas of education, industry, agriculture, agro-industry, law and order etc.

With good wishes in heart for Bihar. - Braj Mohan Mishra, Assam - Jan. 30, 2007
