My
friends,
I am Romen Borah, an Assamese, a resident of
Tinsukia, Assam.
On behalf of the people of Assam I am saying
sorry to all of you due to the recent killings
of Bihari people by ULFA.
Probably you know that, we, the common Assamese
People, are feeling much pain for the incident.
ULFA is like a cancer in Assam, 95% people from
Assam hate ULFA like anything.
These days, ULFA is nothing but a group of
trained mercenary soldiers backed by the foreign
forces.
In last two years, we have lost more than 1000
young men in ULFA violence .
Through this mail I am requesting the people of
Bihar not to misunderstand common Assamese
people. We want peace and prosperity of the
state of Assam, not ULFA-giri or terrorism.
I am very much optimistic that our current
government will solve this issue very soon. It
is taking time to control the situation because
of the terrain of Assam. As you know, we have
uneven terrain with thick jungle. It is very
difficult to move swiftly in such geographical
condition.
Long live Bihar–Assam friendship.
Jai Hind.

Strong comment - made with a lot of
passion.
We must all support Roman Borah and
others who like him who are coming
out courageously against the
diabolical ULFA. - Thakur Vikas

While appreciating Mr Romen Bora’s
view on Ulfa killing Bihari
labourers, I being an Assamese would
like to clarify the people of Bihar
and the rest of the country that
there is no hatred between the
Assamese and Bihari people. The
recent massacre is the handiwork of
the ISI of Pakistan to flush out
Bihari labourers from the state to
create vacuum and make way for
illegal Bangladeshi settlers. As
most of the Ulfa are operating from
Bangladesh and Pakistan, they are
being compelled to take these kind
of actions by the ISI to declare
Assam an integral part of
Bangladesh. The main culprit in this
issue is the Congress Government of
Assam which is lured by the
Bangladeshi Vote bank. - Jayanta

Thank God you guys are talking sense
here otherwise newspaper like the
Statesman are promoting other kind
of debate in the name of freedom of
speech. Please see the link and
read for yourself and
judge the challenge for yourself.
I doubt if with one line disclaimer
they can shun their responsibility.
I am wondering if there is any
mechanism by which we can persuade
Statesman to delete this article.
Please send ‘get well soon’
message to Statesman by
writing on the following link. -
