Indian
Cricket Team has fallen short of its glory after
losing matches against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Now as we all know they may be out of the World
Cup but yet there is a possibility for them to
still be in the world cup if Bermuda wins the
next match against Bangladesh. Yes it looks
impossible but it’s a game that can change at
any point of time.
As it is said that India has already lost their
game so we should not only blame a single player
for it but the whole team. I feel that the
enthusiasm to win their final match to reach the
super 8 was totally missing that brought the
downfall for India. But the Indians were over
expecting from the cricket team which made them
wild and angry, we should watch the game as
entertainment and not as we Indians usually do.
There may be many difficulties the Cricket Team
might have faced during the game while charging
the score of 255 runs. The wrong decision was to
field first and then bat after winning the toss.

Failure of our star cricketers have
greatly disappointed the cricket
lovers and why not, a large amount
of money is spent on this game and
on each players. Today this game has
become a place to be millionaire.
Has BCCI any provision of payment to
players based on their performance?
It is very easy to say that the
cricket is a game of uncertainty. If
it is true then why the payment is
certain. Till now no great players
like Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid, Ganguli
... have opened their mouth on the
punishment or on their retirement
plan to open the gate for the
younger. From news, all appears to
be crorepatis. Good sense must
prevail on them on not to wait for
action by BCCI or general public.
Every one including coach, now seem
to be finding excuses and India's
name has gone to earth in the eyes
of the world. - T S P Sinha,

ns a cricket fan I don't understand
the term "High Expectations". I
expected the Indian Team to win
against Bangladesh. Is this high
expectation? I expected them to go
to Super Eight. Is this high
expectation. If Indian Team can't
fulfill these expectations then I am
sorry, non-performers have no right
to be in the team... be it Tendulkar
or Sehwag or Dhoni. - Shabab Sham - Mar. 29, 2007 |
