In the absence of their big brothers of Indian cricket team, led by young ‘Dhoni’ won the ICC Twenty20 world cup. They played very well. But the most important thing was that they never felt pressure or dressing down from their elder counterpart in the dressing room. In my opinion this is the only reason; free from “invisible psychological pressure” allowed these “talented young” of team India taste big victory after 24 years in the world of cricket.

Recent survey shows that youngsters of 2007 in India have more positive thinking about their country. They are looking forward to see the developed world. In fact they are also looking forward to see drastic change in political ring encircling and strangulating their lives. Without forward political movement, it is difficult to inculcate “Dhoni effect” in every aspect of our lives.

Our social and political life is very much limited to dynastic activities in the absence of social securities to elderly people engaged in political asterism. Even high profile Bollywood industries are well affected by dynastic activities. Quoting from Pioneer; “Rahul Gandhi, Priya Dutt, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Sachin Pilot and other children of party leaders on key organisational posts, is an official declaration of the Congress that only sons and daughters of party leaders can have place in the outfit.”

Congress has always been blamed for such activities. Frankly speaking, all political parties are engaged in “Pedigree-ism” and recent examples are HD Kumaraswami (Deve Gowda) of JD (S), Supriya Sule (Sharad Pawar) of NCP, Kanimozhi (Karunanidhi) of DMK, Anubami Ramadoss of PMK, Manavendra Singh (Jaswant Singh) and Prakash Singh (Rajnath Singh) of BJP, Akhilesh Yadav (Mulayam Singh Yadav) of SP, Udhhav Thakarey (Bal Thakarey) of Shiv Sena… Endless list… show that on political front our social behavioral pattern is still rotting, which is very much responsible for dynastic rule. Are we not emotional fools? That is why widow of Sunil Mahato won recently held election of Jamshedpur parliamentary seat.

There are some exceptions. Young Turk of Indian Politics late Shri Chandrasekhar never groomed his children in politics, but followers of dynastic rule announced his younger son as a candidate from Balia parliamentary election considering the fact that win-ability lies with idiotic thought of sympathy factors amongst rural and urban voters. “IIT-educated” Mr. Ajit Singh, son of late Charan Singh, despite changing, taking and hobnobbing with various political philosophy, is still a “monarch-the-democrat”.

Two important phrases need to be addressed again; “invisible psychological pressure” and “talented young”. Undue respect derived from invisible psychological pressure in particular social setup is our sociological disorder, which is the main reason of depleting talented youngster in our political life and in other areas too. Manmohan Singh as a Prime Minister of India is certainly not a natural phenomenon. Should we allow synthesis of Prime Ministers and Ministers in dynastic political laboratory?

At the beach of personal entertainment, we have rejected Kumar Gaurav (Rajendra Kumar’s son) and Sunil Anand (Dev Anand’s son) and many more gen-next big-wigs of Bollywood. Why don’t we repeat the same in our democratic political life? How long sympathy factors crush our objectives, goals and growths?

Let people of India emulate “Dhoni factor” in political sector by abolishing the concept of “tenured” for one family. Let people of India act such that all political parties should feel the heat of social “self-reforms”.

Comments:
You have really hammered the real scenario of Indian political system. The democracy of ours is a mask to cover the evil intentions of the politicians to continue their hold on the public. However, Manmohan Singh cannot be taken as an exception, because he never was and is the choice of the public. He is actually a temporary arrangement for the time when the Nehru-Ke-Laal overtake the throne of Indian kingdom. - Ravish Kumar - Sept. 28, 2007

Dr. Sudhir Ranjan has listed down all over India’s flourishing dynastic chain.

But, the disgusting thing he committed by not mentioning a single word about the champion of the so-called “Parivaar-vaad”, who hails from his own state and this guy, even surpassed the “Parivaar-vaad” and is championing the “Khandaan-vaad”.

And the name of this champion is Lalu Yadav. Just count: Lalu Yadav (Ex CM of Bihar, currently railway minister, President of Bihar Cricket Board), Rabri devi (wife, ex CM of Bihar and leader of opposition), Tejpratap (son, captain of Bihar cricket team), Misa Bharati (daughter, topper of Bihar MBBS although failed to qualify in Medical Entrance Test), Sadhu Yadav (brother in law, MP), Subhash Yadav (brother in law, MP), Prabhu Nath Yadav (Brother in law, politician), Indira Yadav (Sister in Law, politician), Jaiprakash Yadav (Samadhi, Union Minister for Water Resources), Nagendra Rai (nephew, don of Patna, leader of RJD youth wing)... I am tired now to pen down more names. - Parshuram - Sept. 29, 2007
