It is reported that the chief minister is ready for a reshuffle, perhaps the first one, in his ministry. By now he must have understood the weaknesses of his government and whys of his sluggish developmental progress.

Nitish has taken many steps that are out of box, particularly for improving the law and order and reducing the corruption. Why should not he reengineer the cabinet portfolios to make it more lean but effective? He may even do away with some if that has been only decorative. Why should he be hesitant in bringing in some efficient persons of proven record in his ministry, even if it means the induction of persons with no political background at least in some ministries such as one for infrastructure of road and power that needs fast execution? The chief minister must create a ministry for higher education that encourages innovation and entrepreneurship among the passing out graduates. But perhaps the chief minister badly require efficient ministers for industry and agriculture who command respect in corporate India and can induce the industrialist to come in Bihar.

The chief minister must not lose this opportunity to get the ministry really effectively efficient that gets visibly different too. Perhaps, the whole lot of the people of Bihar and from Bihar wishes him luck.
