Be it Raj Thackeray issue of arrest or Mayawati’s open loot, the Congress party is indecisive, as it doesn’t have any more any ideology. Political advantages decide the policy and more so action.

Raj Thackeray would have been behind bar, but he is not. With all his divisive statements that divide the communities and creates a riot like situation, he is moving free. Even after the advice of the advocate general, the Home Minister of the state is in search of the right and ’strong evidences’. Should the people who watch TV channels consider themselves blind and deaf? Congress CM makes a statement only after Bal Thackeray came out openly against Raj and promises to take action. Sonia or Rahul Gandhi has not even clarified their stands on the issue of Raj Thackeray. Congress doesn’t want to annoy Maharashtrians in Maharashtra, though a person such a Raj is certainly not a Maharashtrian, as he doesn’t know the damage he has done to the image of the state that is considered one of the most advanced one too. I wonder if Bin Laden gets caught in India, Indian government and particularly Congress Party will hesitate to arrest him, as it will not like to displease its vote bank.

The attitude of Congress and its head towards Mayawati is another example of its priority of politics over the national interest or ideology. CBI is going soft against all the cases against Mayawati. And Mayawati is busy in amassing wealth. Why these politicians consider the whole country as one of fools? As reported, Mayawati whose income was estimated at an impressive Rs 52 crore has already grossed Rs 60 crore. Till the December quarter, she had paid Rs 15 crore advance tax for an income of around Rs 45 crore. If the trend continues she could end the year with an income of Rs 60 crore. Is not loot? And surprisingly, it is all legally correct, and has the sanction of Income tax rules. How should an ordinary taxpayer take this story? Will the other politicians or would be politicians not emulate the Mayawati route to legalize the money amassed? Why the intellectuals and legal luminaries are silent about it? Should the citizens of India not expect the political parties and their heads to express their views on this issue for the general public? Is it the great collaborative corruption or loot of the taxpayer’s wealth? Why can’t the people expect and request or ask Manmohan Singh and P Chidambaram to come out with their views on Mayawati’s annual earnings?.
