Ingredients
• Mustard
Oil - 2 tbsp
• Onion 2 medium size -chopped
• Bhindi (baby okra) -1/2 kg cut into big
peices
• Tomatoes - 3 medium size - chopped
• Ginger and garlic paste - 2 tbsp.
• Red chili powder -as per desired
• Asafetida- Pinch
• Gram masala -pinch
• Salt to taste
• Coriander powder - 1tbsp
• Cumin seed - 1 tbsp
• Turmeric powder -1/2tbsp
• Amchur (dry mango powder) 1/2 tbsp
• Water
Heat the oil
add cumin seed, then add the chopped onion and
ginger garlic paste, sauté it for sometime till
the colour of the onion becomes pink. Then add
tomato, red chili powder, turmeric powder,
coriander powder and fry it for sometime. Add
baby okra (bhindi) and fry it for 10 minutes.
Then add salt and water to it. Keep it at medium
heat for another 5 minutes and then add garam
masala, asafetida, and dry mango powder.
Serve it hot with paratha.
