
Chicken Manchurian

Ingredients
For marinating
chicken:
• Boneless
chicken 1 kg (cut into 1 1/2" length
• Maida - 3 tsp
• Ginger Garlic Paste - 4 tsp
• Ajinomoto - 1/2 tsp
• Soya sauce - 1 tsp
• Chili sauce - 1 tsp (optional)
• Salt to taste
• Oil for deep frying
For making the
sauce:
• Ginger -
finely chopped 1 tsp
• Garlic - finely chopped 1 tsp
• Green chilies - finely chopped 2 tsp
• Onions - finely chopped 6 tsp
• Soya sauce - 1/4 tsp
• Chili sauce - 1/2 tsp
• Tomato sauce - 1 tsp
• Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
• Ajinomoto - a pinch
• Sugar - 1 tsp
• Maggi/Knorr chicken soup cubes - 1/4 cup
• Maida with water (3 tsp maida with 1/4 cup
water)
• Oil - 3 tsp
• Salt to taste
Method:
1. Combine all the ingredients for marinating
(except oil) and set aside for about an hour.
2. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Deep fry the
chicken pieces a few at a time. Drain when
golden brown and cooked. Keep aside.
3. In another pan, heat oil, and then add the
chopped ginger, garlic and green chilies and
finally onion and sauté for a minute.
4. Add the soya, chili, tomato sauce, pepper,
sugar, ajinomoto, Maggi soup cubes, and salt.
5. Add little water and bring to a boil. Add the
fried chicken and cook for 3 mins.
6. Then add the maida and water mixture and stir
properly so that no lumps are formed.
7. Cook for few minutes until mixture thickens
slightly.
