Gulgula

Ingredients

• 1 cup - plain flour
• ½ cup – whole wheat flour
• ¾ cup – jaggery, grated
• 1½ cup - water
• 1 tsp - cardamom
• Ghee to deep fry

Method:

1. Put jaggery and water in a deep vessel.
2. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
3. Keep aside to cool to room temperature.
4. Sieve both flours.
5. Mix in cardamom.
6. Add jaggery water, mix with electric whipper.
7. When well mixed, heat ghee in a frying pan.
8. Add 1 tbsp of thick mixture, few at a time.
9. Fry on low flame, for 3-4 minutes, or till lightly browned.
10. Drain, allow to cool.
