Patna: Bhojpuri film star Ravi Kishan at Hotel Republic in Patna on Tuesday launched the trailer of his latest movie 'Pandit Ji Batai Na Biyah Kab Hoi' in the presence of co-star Shinjini Kulkarni, the granddaughter of famous dance master Pandit Birju Maharaj, and Anara Gupta.

Made under the banner of his name, the movie is unlike other run-of-the-mill Bhojpuri films that give bad name to the Bhojpuri film industry," Kishan said adding it was a family drama that could be seen with family members of all ages without worrying about being embarrassed.

"There is an item song in it but even that has been done in a vary tasteful way," he said.

Kishan lamented the lack of support in film-making by the Bihar government that forced him to shoot his entire film in Jaunpur and Lucknow regions of Uttar Pradesh.

"The Bihar government has shown no interest in promoting film industry in the state. If given proper support and subsidy, I might make my next movie right here in Bihar," he said adding he was in talk with prominent actors like Nana Patekar and Nasiruddin Shah for his next venture.
