Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday joined the cast and crew of 'Deswa' at the Regent Theater in Patna for a special screening of the film that is poised to reach major milestones in the world of Bhojpuri films.

Enjoying some popcorn and coffee at the interval, the Chief Minister mingled with the cast and crew members of the film and congratulated them for making a meaningful movie that dealt with issues facing today's youths.

Later, at the end of the film, Kumar said that he really enjoyed the movie and would recommend it to others because of the fine storyline, acting, crisp dialog, and the music in it.

"All the actors have done justice with their roles and this shows that Bihari artists are in no way inferior to artists from other states. They have tremendous amount of talent and if given the chance, they could bring laurels to the state," he said.

Nitin Chandra, the Director of the film, said that he had no interest in politics but being a Bihari; he has drawn upon his personal experience and has tried to portray them in this film.

'Deswa', which is mostly shot in Bihar, is slated to be released on November 25.
