Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday hosted the annual Iftar party at his official residence at 1 Anne Marg that included nearly the entire who's who of the Grand Alliance including Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife and two sons, and other senior RJD, Congress, and JD-U leaders.

Patna: After day-long drama in the media of a 21-year old woman having been gang-raped before her female parts being brutally mutilated by her tormentors, Bihar Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters) Sunil Kumar denied the news saying the woman was not raped though an attempt was made to rape her.

Patna: Patna, being the hotbed of student agitations and protests against the establishment, saw the presence of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Students' Union General Secretary Ram Naga and former General Secretary Chintu Kumari on Monday who arrived in Patna to extend solidarity to the students of Patna Arts and Craft College who had been on strike for nearly a month now to press for their demands.
