Patna: Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday at Raj Bhawan in Patna administered the oath of office to Retired Justice Mihir Kumar Jha and retired IAS officer Kirti Chandra Saha as the members of the Lokayukta, an independent body designed to keep an independent eye on the government.
Patna: With Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) junior doctors' strike entering into its third day, at least six persons have been reported dead so far in the lack of medical care as negotiation to end the strike once again proved futile with junior doctors refusing to go back to work until their demands were met without any precondition.

Patna: Janata Dal – U legislative council member Manorama Devi has reportedly gone into hiding after an arrest warrant was issued against her and her house in Gaya sealed by the police following recovery of liquor bottles from her home during a Monday raid in connection with the murder of a youth allegedly by her son Rocky Yadav.
