Patna: Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) and Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha on Monday helped break the fast of his party's youth leaders who had been sitting on a dharna for the last two days to protest against rising crime under Nitish administration.
Kushwaha offered juices to the fasting students in Gardanibagh and told them that his party would continue to raise its voice against the Mahagathbandhan government in Bihar that, instead of reining in growing crime, had given impetus to criminal activities thus ushering Jungle Raj II in the state.
The Union Minister also called Chief Minister Nitish Kumar a hypocrite for seeking an end to the Sangh Parivar saying all his life, the Janata Dal – U leader enjoyed the benefits of being an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) but once he became the Chief Minister of Bihar, he betrayed the BJP like he had betrayed others in the past.
"For 17 years, he did not object to the ideologies of the RSS but now he is acting as if he did not know anything about it when the NDA was in power under Vajpayee's leadership. Today he is seeking to finish it off politically," Kushwaha said adding Kumar was forgetting that while he did not support the RSS on many issues, it could not be denied that it had done some very good things for the country.
"We should appreciate the RSS for the good things it has done while opposing it when we feel it is going against the people of India. Nitish Kumar neither had nor will ever have the power to finish off a political party," he said.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
