Patna: More than 200 jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and other paramilitary forces from various districts in Bihar on Sunday took part in a run to mark the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Babu Veer Kunwar Singh.
The race, organized by the Bihar Masters Athletic Association (BMAA) was flagged off by its Chairperson and Bihar legislative Ranvir Nandan and Patna Divisional Commissioner Anand Kishore from Gate number 2 of the Sanjay Gandhi Botanical and Zoological Garden.
Participants ended their run at the Miller High School on Birchand Patel Marg after covering Bailey Road, Hartali Chowk, Patna High Court, and Income Tax Roundabout.
Prizes were given out by the legislator with the first place in the long run category going to Uday Mehta of Saharsa and Sugriv Kumar of CRPF in the Master's category.
The winners walked away with Rs. 5,000 in cash while the second and third place winners were awarded Rs. 3,000 and 2,000 each. Consolation prizes were given to ten other participants.
