Patna: Over one hundred boys from across the state began trying out their luck for inclusion in the Under-19 cricket team of Bihar at a two-day trial that began at Moinul Haque Stadium in Patna on Tuesday.
Conducted by the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) at the directive of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the trial was inaugurated by Bihar Art, Culture, Youth, and Sports Minister Shivchandra Ram at 8:00 am.
Out of the hundred hopefuls, thirty will be eventually selected who will then attend a rigorous 21-day training camp organized by the BCCI.
BCA Joint Secretary Mrityunjay Tiwari informed that Tarun Kumar has been made the chairperson of the selection committee while Rajesh Sinha, Ajay Yadav, Devi Shankar Ganguly are the members of the selection committee. Neeraj Kumar was appointed the coordinator of the selection committee.
