Cycling Competition Held; SSP Rides Bike to Encourage Contestant

Patna: Several people on Sunday took part in road cycling competition organized by the Cycling Association of Bihar that was flagged off by the Secretary of the association Dr. Kaushal Kishore Singh and Treasurer Baijnath Prasad.

On the occasion, Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manu Maharaj also rode a bike covering nearly 2.5 kilometer to encourage other contestants.

The gold, silver, and bronze medal winners in the Youth category were Neeraj, Tarun, and Syed Zohib Fateh. In the Sub-junior category winners were Sirish and Avinash; in the Junior category, Sanuk Das, Ankit, and Ravi

All the gold medalists were given brand new bikes; silver place winners won Rs. 1500, while Bronze medal winners walked away with Rs. 1000 in cash, contest coordinator Prem Kumar said.

Awards were given away by Bihar Sports Minister Shivchandra Ram and SSP Manu Maharaj. Nationally-acclaimed cyclist Rajnish Kumar, Shyam Kumar, and Kajal Kumari were among many who were present on the occasion.
