Protests in Patna over the Murder of Gaya Youth

Patna: Angry citizens and political activists in Patna on Monday took out a number of protest rallies for the killing of 20-year old Aditya Sachdeva, the son of a Gaya businessman who was gunned down allegedly by the son of Janata Dal – U legislator Manorama Devi and her criminal husband Bindeshwari Yadav on Saturday night.

ABVP activists burning the effigies of Nitish and Lalu in Patna on Monday.A candle march led by noted physician Dr. Diwakar Tejaswi and other prominent citizens of Patna was carried out near the Kargil Chowk where the protestors demanded justice from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Meanwhile, members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) burnt effigies of the Chief Minister and his political ally and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav for the collapse of law and order in Bihar allowing criminals to run the state.

Another protest was held by the youth wing of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) at Kargil Chowk where protestors burnt an effigy of Nitish Kumar while demanding an end of 'Gunda Raj' in Bihar.
