Gaya: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain on Monday accused the Nitish government of failing to curb crime in Bihar saying Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was more interested in patting his own back after the crime is committed instead of trying to stop crime from being committed in the first place.
Hussain questioned Kumar's habit of praising himself about how he ordered an enquiry and how well the investigation was going saying the Chief Minister, instead of instituting tough policies and taking proactive steps to curb crime, was happy with how many arrests had been made after the crime has already been committed.
"You are basically saying that crime will continue to occur and you will continue to go after criminals. This is neither a sound policy nor does it calm down the nerves of the worrying citizens," the BJP leader said.
Hussain also slammed the Chief Minister for failing to visit Gaya where a youth was murdered by the son of a member of his own party.
"He does not have the common courtesy to even visit the grieving family members of the youth in Gaya. Instead, he is doing politics in Varanasi and Lucknow to fulfill his dream of becoming the Prime Minister of India one day," the BJP leader who visited the Aditya Sachdeva family on Monday, said.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
