Patna: Activists belonging to Pappu Yadav's Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) in Patna on Wednesday vandalized the clinic of Dr. Pramod Kumar Jha who has been accused of stealing the kidney of a man without his or his family members' permission.

As reported, 35-year old Mohammed Rafiq of Saharsa district had admitted himself at the KB Surgical Hospital in Sri Krishna Puri on May 20th for removal of kidney stones. He was operated upon by Dr. Jha.

However, in spite of the operation, he kept complaining about severe pain in his stomach. Dr. Jha then referred him to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) on May 26. However, his family members got him admitted in a private hospital where the doctors told him that his kidney was missing.

Meanwhile, Dr. Jha admitted of removing his kidney saying that was the only way to save the man's life and if the police wanted to see the kidney, he would be more willing to show them because it was still at his hospital.

Family members maintain that the doctor never told them about his plan to remove Rafiq's kidney in order to save his life.

Authorities are investigating the case.

Pappu Yadav's supporters, in the meantime, vandalized the clinic on Wednesday causing serious damage to the property.
