Painting, Fancy Dress Contest to Mark World Environment Day

Patna: More than two hundred students from various schools in Patna on Sunday took part in various competitions held at the Sri Krishna Science Center to mark the World Environment Day.

Prof. M P Trivedi speaking on the World Environment Day at Sri Krishna Science Center in Patna on Monday.The day-long event also featured a lecture on the Role of Youths in Environment Conservation by keynote speaker and Botany professor at Patna Science College Dr. M P Trivedi.

In the junior painting competition category, Sarthak Singh Sagar of St. Karen's High School, Gola Road, was adjudged the first place winner followed by Shanvi of Open Minds Birla (Boring Road) in the second place, and Hrithik Kumar of Khagaul in the third place.

In the senior painting contest, DAV Public School Khagaul student Aryan Singh walked away with the first place prize. The second and third place winners were Diya Goel of St. Joseph Surya Vihar, Exhibition Road; and Medha Chauhan of DAV Public School Khagaul.

In the Fancy Dress category, S Taneja won the first place prize followed by Ria Raj of Kankarbagh and Kabir Ranjan of St. Karen's Montessori School.
