Patna: The relentless attack against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar by former Deputy Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Kumar Modi kept coming on Tuesday when he blamed Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav for the latest scandal to hit Bihar education involving Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) and the so-called 'toppers' in Arts and Science.
Mocking the Chief Minister for ordering FIRs against the three students who were earlier declared toppers by the BSEB only to snatch away the honor after the three students failed to show even the basic understanding of their supposed subjects, Modi said that by doing so, Kumar was putting the blame on the students and not the Board and its officials who botched the results in the first place.
"Both Kumar and Yadav are trying to protect Bachcha Rai, the owner of Bishun Rai College, and BSEB Chairperson Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh who obviously has been bought by Rai. Both should be arrested and put in jail instead of filing FIRs against the three students," the BJP leader said.
The former Deputy Chief Minister further said that it was Rai who campaigned tirelessly to ensure the victory of Lalu's sons Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejaswi Yadav in the last Assembly polls so he could reap 'benefits' from them in the future. He also said that Kumar was sheltering Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh because he happened to be the husband of a former Janata Dal – U legislator.
As reported, at the behest of Kumar, the Education Department on late Monday night filed FIRs against Saurabh Shrestha, Rahul Kumar, and Ruby Rai, who were earlier declared toppers by the BSEB, under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
