Super 30 does it Again; 28 of 30 Students Crack IIT-JEE

Patna: Students of Super 30 in Patna were a jubilant lot on Sunday after 28 of its 30 IIT aspirants cracked the rigorous Joint Entrance Exams (JEE) – Advanced keeping up with the institute's glorious decade-old tradition that has turned it into a worldwide phenomenon.

{gallery}newsimages2016/jun/061216{/gallery}Super 30 founder and noted mathematician Anand Kumar who prepares 30 students each year for admission into the highly sought-after Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) said that he was quite pleased with the result though he would have preferred all 30 students making the list.

Surrounded by his students at his Mithapur home that also acts as his place of teaching, Kumar said that he was very proud of the achievements of his students who had worked very hard to turn their dream of getting into IIT a reality.

As is quite well known, Kumar picks 30 students from impoverished background each year and helps them prepare for entrance in the IITs while also letting the students stay at his place for the entire period of the coaching session, including providing food, at no cost to the students at all.

The co-founder of Super 30 and former Bihar Director General of Police Abhayanand who later parted ways with Anand Kumar to form his own coaching institute named Rahmani 30 to help Muslim students on the pattern of Super 30, also celebrated the success of his students spread in three states with 45 out of 80 students cracking the JEE – Advance test.

Meanwhile, Ishan Tarunesh, a native of Muzaffarpur who came at 33rd place in the all India merit list, was claimed by the FIIT-Jee institute of Patna whose six other students made the list of successful students.
