Patna: Divisional Commissioner Anand Kishore on Friday visited the area between the auto stand and Yogipur Sewage in Kankarbagh region and directed the officials to clear up the encroachment to make room for the proposed park to be built at the cost of Rs. 5 crore.

The park would be stretched from the Kankarbagh Zero Point near the auto stand to Malahi Pakadi for a total length of 825 meter and a width of 70 feet, Kishore said adding the Forestry Department has already submitted a Detailed Project Report (DPR) in this regard and work would begin as soon as administrative permission is received.

The proposed park would be divided into two parts – one spanning between the Kankarbagh Auto Stand and the Pataliputra Sports Complex while the other part would stretch from the Pataliputra Sports Complex to Malahi Pakadi Sump House.

The park would have a green zone of 10 feet wide that would have benches for the visitors. It would also have an eight feet wide strolling track; flower beds, toilets, and drinking water facilities," Kishore said.
