Patna: Janata Dal – U legislator Shyam Bahadur Singh had a few words for his party Nitish Kumar on Monday when he urged him to fire Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav saying Nitish should practice what he preaches when it comes to 'Zero Tolerance' against corruption.
"Nitish Kumar should sack Tejaswi Yadav if he does not resign immediately. After all, how long he (Nitish) should continue to work under pressure from the RJD?" the JD-U leader said.
Accusing RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav for keeping the Chief Minister under pressure, Singh said that Yadav had used Nitish Kumar to seek favors involving postings and transfers of his friends and enemies alike.
"How long Nitish Kumar will go on acting under pressure from the RJD leader? If I had my ways, I would break all ties with the RJD right now," he said.
Singh further said that the government was running smoothly and works were being done in Bihar when JD-U was part of the BJP-led coalition.
"In those days, the government was not working under pressure from anyone. Today Nitish Kumar is working under tremendous amount of pressure from the RJD. Not only that, we feel bad when we see kids sitting next to the Chief Minister," he said in obvious reference to the two sons of Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Senior JD-U leaders are yet to react on Singh's strong statement that could only weaken the Grand Alliance in Bihar.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
