Patna: Criminals in Patna on Wednesday lobbed several bombs at a men's clothing showroom in Dariapur causing serious injuries to three persons in the shop. They were rushed to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for treatment where they remain in serious condition.
Chhotu, the owner of the shop, and two of his brothers who were sitting inside, were injured in the explosion and were taken to the PMCH where they were listed in serious condition.
Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manu Maharaj said the attack appeared to be the handiwork of the 'Mukhiya Gang' who had personal enmity with the owner of the shop.
People who know the victims, however, blamed the police for today's incident saying Chhotu, in a murder case a few months ago, had told the police about the identity and whereabouts of the criminals but instead of keeping his identity secret, police inadvertently revealed his name and address.
Since then, criminals had been trying to get even with him, people in the area said.
The Kadam Kuan police station in-charge, however, denied the story saying he had never picked up Chhotu for any reason so there was never a question of revealing anyone's identity.
Authorities are investigating the case.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
