NDA Leaders Pay Homage to JP on his 115th Birth Anniversary

Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi in Patna on Wednesday paid floral tribute to Loknayak Jaya Prakash Narayan at his statue on Income Tax Roundabout to mark his 115th birth anniversary.

Nitish paying tribute to JP at the Income Tax Roundabout on Bailey Road in Patna.Union Chemical and Fertilizer Minister Anant Kumar, Road Construction Minister Nand Kishore Yadav, BJP state President Nityanand Rai, Janata Dal – U leaders Shyam Rajak and Sanjay Kumar Singh were also present on the occasion.

Artists from the Information and Public Relations Department on the occasion performed a prayer and sang religious hymns in reverence to the veteran socialist leader who called for a 'total revolution' against the oppressive Indira Gandhi government in the '70s.

Earlier, Anant Kumar took part in a function at JP's paternal village in Sitab Diara in Uttar Pradesh where he pledged to save the village from recurring flood.

"I will talk to Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari about this as soon as I return to Delhi," he said.

BJP leaders Nand Kishore Yadav, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Janardan Sigriwal, Dr. CP Thakur, Nityanand Rai and Om Prakash Yadav were among many who also took part in the function.
