Patna: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha is far from being done criticizing his own party as he took shots at the Modi administration saying it had lost the moral high ground in the nation because of its own deeds.

Sinha was talking to the reporters outside Charkha Samiti, the home-turned-shrine of Loknayak Jaya Prakash Narayan in Kadam Kuan to pay homage to the architect of Total Revolution of the '70s on his 115th birth anniversary.

The former Finance Minister, quoting Jaya Prakash Narayan, said that the Loknayak used to say that it did not matter what party was in power if the public was not aware of what was going on in the country.

When asked if today's condition was anything like the Emergency period, Sinha said that the people of India were better suited to answer this question than he was.

On the question of his son and Union Minister Jayant Sinha disagreeing with him on the state of affairs under the NDA government, the BJP leader said that while his son was following the 'Raj Dharma', he, on the other hand, was fulfilling his duties under the 'Rashtra Dharma'.

Sinha, along with party colleague and former Bollywood star Shatrughan Sinha, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and many others have been invited to attend the 100th anniversary of Patna University along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 14.
