Shatrughan Sinha Disapproves of PM's Tone and Tenor

Patna: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former movie star Shatrughan Sinha, after offering his prayer at the High Court 'Mazaar' (tomb) in Patna on Wednesday to mark the Urs festival, once again took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying he did not appreciate the language he was using against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

Apparently referring to Modi's recent comparison of Gandhi to Mughal ruler Aurangzeb, Singh said that he did not support such language and the Prime Minister should choose his words carefully.

"Such language like comparing someone to Aurangzeb or calling someone 'Shahzade Sahab' are not conducive in any way and can hurt the party even after the elections are over. Similar language was used in Bihar when leaders were referring to DNA to score political points over their opponents," he said.

Sinha, a BJP MP from Patna Saheb, also complained about his party's attempt to drown his voice in the noise, saying since he was not being given an opportunity to voice his opinions, he had no choice but to go to Twitter to express his feelings towards his own party.

The former actor also offered support to yet another disgruntled BJP leader and former Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha on his agitation in favor of farmers in the state of Maharashtra.

"The former minister was raising a very important issue in Maharashtra that concerned the farmers of the state but his voice was muzzled when the Maharashtrian government detained him on Monday forcing him to end his agitation today. Mr. Sinha is right about the GST and demonetization because when he raises an issue, you can be rest assured he has done quite a bit of research into it," the BJP leader said.
