Patna: Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) President and Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha, at a press conference in Patna on Friday, justified attachment of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's property in Patna by the Office of Enforcement Directorate saying the law of the land was taking its course and there was no conspiracy in it as alleged by the Lalu family.
Denying there was a widespread conspiracy against the Yadav family that remains at the helm of the RJD, the Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development said that the investigative agencies were doing their job and beyond that he had not much to add.
Kushwaha, however, was more upfront about the prospect of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Gujarat Assembly elections saying the BJP was set to sweep the state despite Congress leaders saying otherwise.
"It's not a question of 'agar-magar'; BJP will take Gujarat in an overwhelming fashion. Whatever doubts people were having about the election results, the insulting remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi by senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar has only help energize those who were sitting on the fence trying to decide which party to vote," the RLSP leader said adding the language used by Aiyar against the PM was abhorrent and had no place in the Indian politics.
The party is planning to form human chains outside one school in every Panchayat in Bihar on January 30 in an attempt to spread awareness about educational reforms being taken by the Central government.
"I have asked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to join us in this human chain as we have committed to join his party's decision to form human chains in Bihar against dowry system and child marriage on January 21," he said.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
