Patna: Janata Dal – U spokesperson Sanjay Singh, reacting to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Shivanand Tiwari's statement that reservation was required in the judiciary as only a dalit judge could be fair in imparting justice to a backward leader like Lalu Prasad Yadav, said that Tiwari should first try to implement reservation in the RJD itself that is dominated by the Yadavs leaving no room for Mahadalits.

"Tiwari ji, like his boss, is an old pro in playing the backward-forward cards. Whenever something does not go in their favor, they bring out the reservation issue while casting doubts on the integrity of our judicial system. If he is so keen on implementing reservation, why doesn't he try it within the RJD itself where only the Lalu family members are allowed to run the show? Why are no Mahadalits promoted to top positions in the party?" Singh asked.

Asking Tiwari to talk to party President Lalu Prasad Yadav to resign from his post and elevate a Mahadalit leader to the party's top post, the JD-U spokesperson further said that since Tiwari was very keen on playing the backward-forward caste, he, or any member of the party belonging to the Brahman community should contest elections from non-Brahman constituency if they really wanted to test their mettle.
